The TSA, in partnership with Conservation International - Cambodia and British Petroleum, is pleased to sponsor this Turtles of Cambodia calendar. This is the first project funded from the TSA Seed Grants program, made possible through a grant from the Batchelor Foundation. According to David Emmett (CI Cambodia) –

“The calendars are proving to be hugely popular! WWF Cambodia have taken 40 in Khmer for their rangers, and 10 in English. The WCS Batagur project already has sales for over 60, raising revenue for the Batagur project. We have given 10-20 each to WildAid, Save Cambodia’s Wildlife, FFI, and M’luop Baitong (a Cambodian environmental NGO). I’m sending 40 to Doug in Vietnam for him to distribute, and I’ve sent some to colleagues in Nepal, China, the US, and the UK. We have also had requests for a further 200+ for government rangers, and I’m going to take 40 in Khmer for CI’s ranger program. The big NGO’s (e.g. WCS, WildAid) will work out how many they need and will get back to me with numbers for their rangers. That should be another couple hundred.”

We hope that these calendars will help raise awareness for the plight of turtles in Cambodia and help promote their conservation. Hopefully we will have a few copies available for sale on the web site in the very near future.
